Mark Svrcek, Founder
Mark Svrcek is an American entrepreneur and political activist interested in teaching the United States Constitution to all citizens and undocumented people of the United States of America.
On July 4, 2018 he founded The American Lobby with a mission to mandate universal knowledge of the United States Constitution be a requirement for any person running for public office that requires a candidate to swear to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States of America.
Born in Washington, DC, and raised in the Maryland suburbs, Svrcek attended the University of Maryland, obtained his Real Estate licenses and simultaneously sold real estate. In 1986 he opened the first of many real estate brokerage offices in the Washington, D.C. suburbs. Five years later Mark added a settlement/title organization and a mortgage company to the real estate venture. Mark Svrcek hosted a real estate related radio show and later a radio show on money and investing.
In 1999 he became securities-licensed with Linsco Private Ledger (aka) LPL, obtained his Life and Health insurance licenses and in 2002 he became a Securities Registered Investment Advisor while working for Raymond James. Mark was a pioneer in Fee-Based Advisory Services before it became commonplace in the industry. He has managed real estate offices and recruited and mentored hundreds of agents and brokers for more than 33 years.
Svrcek has also been an investor in real estate, precious metals and participates as a small developer of residential and commercial real estate. He has been involved in the Hospitality and Food industry since 2003 especially in terms of the success of a Maryland hotel. But, outside of building businesses and employing people, Mark Svrcek’s passion is in the education and status of the U.S. Constitution.
Gary Costello
Gary Costello is a native of Montgomery County, Maryland, growing up in the suburbs of Washington, DC. Gary was employed with Control Data Corporation/American Research Bureau and served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve while attending the University of Maryland when he was offered a position with the Montgomery County Police Department of Police in Maryland in 1970. After a 27-year law enforcement career he retired and took a position at The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Gary left to open his own software development company. During his careers Gary was employed with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC/Department of Justice International Criminal Justice Training Program ICITAP) recruiting law enforcement subject matter experts in preparation for deployment to Kosovo in the Former Republic of Yugoslavia to train local police. He was then hired to manage the program in-country where he worked and resided for a year. Gary returned to the Continental U.S. and contracted to OMNIPLEX/OMNISEC where he conducted personnel security background investigations in the Washington, DC area and then was offered a position at the U.S. Department of State (DOS), Diplomatic Security, Office of Personnel Security and Suitability later helping to start a worldwide Customer Service operation supporting DOS employees and Diplomatic Security Agents worldwide. Gary then became a Program Manager at the Office of Antiterrorism Assistance in Diplomatic Security managing police training programs in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Gary has published several newsletters with readers upwards of 900 members. He also has volunteered at the White House during the President Trump and Vice President Pence administration and volunteered with the Presidential Inaugural Committee. Gary Costello continues his passion as a security expert and consultant and has a veracious interest in the state of our U.S. Constitution and our Country.
